🌸 Happy April! Stress Less & Breathe More This Season 🧘🏽‍♀️

Hello Beautiful People ,

Happy April!

And since this message is landing in your inbox on April 1st, let me say this right up front… Nope, this is not an April Fool’s message. 😊 Just a little real-life encouragement and a wellness resource I truly believe can bless someone.

You may have noticed my March newsletter was quiet—and that was intentional. March is Social Work Month, a time when many of us in the field are often pouring into others and uplifting the communities we serve.

This year I gave myself permission to do something different… rest.

Yes, even social workers take breaks too. I was reminding myself of that as much as anyone else. Sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves is pause, breathe, and give ourselves the same grace we encourage others to practice.

Truthfully, I’m still figuring some things out—and that’s okay. Sometimes the wisdom is in the pause. 🤍

I’m allowing the journey to reveal itself little by little—day by day, month by month, year by year—and I feel truly blessed to still be here learning, growing, and becoming.

But as a Social Worker who is always sharing wellness wisdom, I’m back with something meaningful to pass along.

April is Stress Awareness Month, and May is Mental Health Awareness Month, so the timing couldn’t be better.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Training

If you’ve been feeling a little less like yourself in this environment we’re living in—or simply want another way to unwind and center your mind and body—this training might be exactly what you need.

MBSR is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps with:

• Reducing stress and anxiety
• Cultivating mindfulness and presence
• Improving overall well-being
• Creating healthier responses to life’s challenges

Bonus: Continuing Education credits are available for professionals who may need them.

[📅 Upcoming Training Opportunities:

P.S. 🌼 Even a few mindful breaths of calming essential oils like lavender, sweet orange, or frankincense can help create a moment of peace in the middle of a busy day.

Hello, Happy February & Veg-uary! 🌿💛 In honor of Black History Month and Veguary, I wanted to share a new video—and a gentle conversation around health, food, and listening to our bodies. Now listen… I know talking about food can be a sensitive topic—especially those comfort foods we grew up on and enjoy together during the holidays and celebrations. This is not about taking away traditions, joy, or telling anyone what to eat. That’s not my role. What is my role is to share a little...

Hello Beloveds! Happy Holidays! As the holiday season settles in, small rituals can make a big difference. One of my favorites this year is a DIY holiday simmer pot (aka Potpourri)—a gentle, natural way to use scent to create warmth and comfort at home. Using fresh orange slices, cinnamon sticks, rosemary, and cranberries, this simple pot of simmering water allows natural aromas to slowly permeate the air. No essential oils required—just ingredients you may already have in your kitchen. This...

Hello Beloveds! As we step into Thanksgiving week, I wanted to share something truly special with you. 🦃✨ While serving at St. Charles Church, I found a handwritten message on a chalkboard—words originally discovered on the wall in Mother Teresa’s Home for Children in Calcutta. These “Do It Anyway” principles touched my heart deeply, and I felt led to pass them along to you. 💖 Here’s a glimpse of that beautiful inspiration: People may be unreasonable — forgive them anyway. 🙏 Your kindness may...
