Some Food for Thought This Black History Month + Veguary Tips 🌿🍽️

Hello, Happy February & Veg-uary! 🌿💛

In honor of Black History Month and Veguary, I wanted to share a new video—and a gentle conversation around health, food, and listening to our bodies.

Now listen… I know talking about food can be a sensitive topic—especially those comfort foods we grew up on and enjoy together during the holidays and celebrations. This is not about taking away traditions, joy, or telling anyone what to eat. That’s not my role.

What is my role is to share a little wisdom—some food for thought—that might help us live longer, feel better, and avoid some of the unnecessary health complications that too often impact our community.

In this video, I reflect on health topics (including dairy, plant-based choices during Veguary, and how these affect many in the African American community) through a real-life, down-to-earth lens. I also share how I talk about health on my channel—blending education with aromatherapy as a supportive, calming tool for awareness and self-care.

No judgment. No pressure. Just information, reflection, and options.

If something resonates, take it with you. If not, that’s okay too.

Thanks for being here and for being open to the conversation 💛

Hello Beloveds! Happy Holidays! As the holiday season settles in, small rituals can make a big difference. One of my favorites this year is a DIY holiday simmer pot (aka Potpourri)—a gentle, natural way to use scent to create warmth and comfort at home. Using fresh orange slices, cinnamon sticks, rosemary, and cranberries, this simple pot of simmering water allows natural aromas to slowly permeate the air. No essential oils required—just ingredients you may already have in your kitchen. This...

Hello Beloveds! As we step into Thanksgiving week, I wanted to share something truly special with you. 🦃✨ While serving at St. Charles Church, I found a handwritten message on a chalkboard—words originally discovered on the wall in Mother Teresa’s Home for Children in Calcutta. These “Do It Anyway” principles touched my heart deeply, and I felt led to pass them along to you. 💖 Here’s a glimpse of that beautiful inspiration: People may be unreasonable — forgive them anyway. 🙏 Your kindness may...

Hello Beautiful Souls! Here’s an update to what I mentioned in my last newsletter, where I shared:“This weekend I’ll be out in the community as a vendor for Aromabuds and Blossoms, my aromatherapy business. It feels like perfect alignment, like I’m stepping back into my lane with clarity and purpose. If you’re attending the event, come find me. I’d love to see you, share some scents, and reconnect.” Well… it happened — and it was beautiful. ✨ This week has been a powerful reminder of why...
