Wait, I Need Permission to Grow?! 😳

Hey Beloved, Reader 👋

So, picture this: I’m sitting at my desk, jazzed up about enrolling in a new professional development course—because, you know, learning is life! 💡 But then... cue dramatic music... my manager drops the bomb:

"You’ll need to get permission before taking any professional development courses." 😳

Excuse me, what now? Permission to grow? Permission to develop MY career? 🚨

Honestly, I had to check if it was April Fool’s Day because that’s what it felt like! But nope, it was real life.

So, I’m spilling the tea 🍵 in my latest video: "Permission for Growth? When Your Manager Tries to Control Your Professional Development!"

In the video, I talk about how this kind of thing can totally derail your motivation to grow and what you can do about it. Spoiler alert: You are the CEO of your own career! 👑

But seriously, how would you handle that? Do you go along with it, or do you find a clever way to keep evolving anyway? (I chose the latter, naturally! 😉)

What’s Coming Next Week?
Don't worry, I’m getting back to our regular programming next week with the A-Z Essential Oils Spotlight Series, where we dive deep into your favorite oils, their benefits, and how you can use them in everyday life. But until then, grab a cup of tea, sit back, and watch me unpack this manager madness!

📺 Check out the video here: {Click Here to Watch}

P.S. Have you ever had a manager make a wild request like this? Reply back and share your story—I need to know I’m not the only one out here in the "permission slip" zone! 😅

Talk soon....

Love,

Danyielle Nelson, LMSW, CA

Hello Beloveds! As we step into Thanksgiving week, I wanted to share something truly special with you. 🦃✨ While serving at St. Charles Church, I found a handwritten message on a chalkboard—words originally discovered on the wall in Mother Teresa’s Home for Children in Calcutta. These “Do It Anyway” principles touched my heart deeply, and I felt led to pass them along to you. 💖 Here’s a glimpse of that beautiful inspiration: People may be unreasonable — forgive them anyway. 🙏 Your kindness may...

Hello Beautiful Souls! Here’s an update to what I mentioned in my last newsletter, where I shared:“This weekend I’ll be out in the community as a vendor for Aromabuds and Blossoms, my aromatherapy business. It feels like perfect alignment, like I’m stepping back into my lane with clarity and purpose. If you’re attending the event, come find me. I’d love to see you, share some scents, and reconnect.” Well… it happened — and it was beautiful. ✨ This week has been a powerful reminder of why...

Hello Beloveds, Happy Wellness Wednesday! This past week and a half have been one of those times where life taps you on the shoulder and says, “Remember why you’re here?” Someone close to me was navigating a challenging MS moment, and it brought me right back to the root of my journey. It reminded me why I ever started exploring natural wellness in the first place. My path really began years ago with Dr. Joel Wallach’s work and Youngevity, long before aromatherapy and herbalism found me. That...
